Ela Road at Long Grove Road Construction Progress
Construction is progressing quickly at Ela and Long Grove Road. In the next week, traffic will be switched to the east side of Ela Road to allow for work on the west side of the road. The north entrance of Fox Glove Lane will be closed to accommodate construction. All traffic will be routed to the south entrance of Fox Glove Lane.
Crews will begin realigning the bike path leading from Cuba March Forest Preserve to Ela Road soon. The bike path will be closed during this time.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully, follow work zone speed limits, be aware of the new traffic pattern, flaggers working, and of trucks entering and exiting the job site. Bike lanes have been removed during construction. Bikers should be cautious in the work zone, especially when leaving Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve. Learn more
