The Village Board voted to approve adult-use cannabis dispensaries as a special use in a specified area along the southern portion of Rand Road.
We thank the residents for their input into this matter. The Board of Trustees takes the welfare of Deer Park into consideration for any vote on the Agenda. This motion to amend the Codes simply identifies the location in which the Village would allow a Cannabis Organization to construct a dispensary. The Village has not received nor have we solicited discussions with any Cannabis Organization. If the Village is contacted, the Village has a process that must be followed, a process which includes, review and approval from our Planning and Zoning Board, IDOT Traffic surveys and additional Public Meetings.
