The Village is currently at a 79% self-response rate, we are down 6% from 2010. The Village stands to lose 6% of Federal Funding for Schools, Medicaid, Police, Fire, Hospitals, Road Infrastructure, and much more. We need all residents to reply so that federal funding will continue to flow to our Village.
The count is mandated by the Constitution and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency. The 2020 Census counts the population in the United States and five U.S. territories.
Per Governor Pritzker Friday “The state of Illinois receives 34 Billion a year based on the 2010 census data for every 1% of uncounted population the State of Illinois loses 195 Million every year.”
