Deer Park residents, Girl Scout Cadettes Natalie Czarnik and Maddie Kulton, have been working hard on their Girl Scout Silver Award Project. The Silver Award is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. For their project, they built an outdoor music wall at Peace Lutheran Church (1050 S. Old Rand Road) in Lake Zurich. The two-sided music wall consists of 14 instruments, including two handcrafted Aztec drums and a spinning rain stick that the girls built themselves, as well as two talking tubes. This colorful outdoor music wall is for the enjoyment of the children of the community.
Formal dedication of the wall is Sunday, September 29 at 9:45a.m.
