Ela Road Resurfacing:
The Lake County Division of Transportation is resurfacing Ela Road from IL Rt. 22 to Cuba Road. This project also includes the addition of bike friendly shoulders and new sidewalk. Work began September 12, 2016. The contractor has made modifications to the curb and gutter in preparation for the new sidewalk and has started excavating to widen the shoulders. Work will continue this week with sidewalk related items, with plans to mill Ela Road starting the week of October 3. Paving will follow soon after. Expect daily or intermittent lane closures and use caution when travelling through the project site. Project Website.
