New Traffic Pattern: Ela at Long Grove Road
Most of the work on the west side of Ela Road is complete. Construction crews have begun installing traffic signals, planting trees and working on landscaping at the intersection.
Over the next few weeks, crews will pave the final road surface and bike path and install ADA sidewalk ramps. The new traffic signals will be turned on and operational before winter.
The north entrance of Fox Glove Lane and the bike path entrance to Cuba March Forest Preserve on Ela Road will remain closed during construction.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully, follow work zone speed limits, be aware of the new traffic pattern, flaggers working, and of trucks entering and exiting the job site. Bikers should be cautious in the work zone. Learn more
