The Lake County Sheriff's Office has released a new free mobile application that allows users to receive important public safety alerts, news and other resources in the palm of their hand.
All Lake County residents who download the app, which is free on the iPhone and Android app stores, will be able to opt-in to countywide alerts and news from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, users of the app who live in a village where the sheriff’s office provides contractual policing (Volo, Long Grove, Deer Park, Beach Park, North Barrington, and Lake Barrington) will be able to opt-in for alerts in their specific community. Additional features of the app allow users to submit crime tips, request documents like accident or police reports, search for registered sex offenders and more.
