The Lake County Sheriff’s office has brought to our attention that ruse burglaries are occurring in our Village and neighboring communities. Do not let anyone in your house unless invited. Yesterday December 6th a resident had an unknown offender enter their residence to look at water lines. The resident later noticed jewelry missing. Please be aware of strangers and do not let anyone in your house unless you have an appointment. If you have strangers in your house watch them carefully.
